Terms of sale

1. Who you’re buying from

Your order is with Central Michigan Printing Company. We work with trusted production partners who print and ship some orders for us, but we remain your seller. We take your order, check your files, manage production and stand behind the result. If you order for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to agree to these terms for it.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 to create an account or place an order.
• Keep your details accurate and your password private. You’re responsible for orders placed from your account.
• You can design and order as a guest. If you create an account later, that work moves into it.
• We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or content that breaks these terms.

3. Prices, quotes and orders

• Prices are in US dollars and include any setup fee shown on the product page. Shipping and sales tax are added at checkout, before you place your order.
• We collect sales tax on orders shipped to Michigan. If you’re tax-exempt, send us your exemption certificate before you order.
• Reorders are charged at the current price, not the price of the original order.
• Custom quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
• We accept your order when we send the order confirmation. If a price was clearly wrong, or we can’t make the item as described, we’ll contact you before production and you can cancel for a full refund.

4. Payment

Depending on the options shown at checkout, you pay by card through our payment processor, Stripe, or by invoice. We start production once your payment is received. Invoices are due when issued unless we’ve agreed to other terms in writing. We may cancel orders that remain unpaid after 30 days.

5. Your artwork and our file check

• You’re responsible for what your design says and shows, including spelling, phone numbers, dates, layout, colors, size and quantity. Please check it carefully. The preview in the designer shows what will be printed.
• We check every file before printing for technical problems such as low-resolution images, missing bleed or text outside the safe zone. If we find one, we contact you before printing. Our file check isn’t proofreading.
• Colors vary a little. Screens show color with light and presses print with ink, so printed colors can differ slightly from your screen and between print runs or materials. Tell us your Pantone colors if an exact match matters.
• Trimming varies a little. Cutting and folding can shift slightly, which is why the designer shows a bleed area and a safe zone. Keep important content inside the safe zone.

6. Content rules and ownership

You keep ownership of your artwork. When you upload or order it, you allow us and our print partners to store it, copy it, prepare it for printing (for example, resizing it or converting its colors) and print it. We do this only to make your orders and to show them to you in your account.

You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send us, including logos, trademarks, photos, fonts and characters. We may refuse or cancel any order, with a full refund, if we believe its content:

• infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• is illegal, threatening, harassing or hateful;
• is sexually explicit, or exploits or endangers minors; or
• is meant to deceive, such as fake IDs, currency or official documents.

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you supplied, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim. If you believe something printed through our site infringes your rights, email us with the details.

7. AI artwork and Canva

• Our AI artwork tool creates images with OpenAI from the description you type. Results can be unexpected and can resemble existing work. Check every image before you order it, and don’t ask for real people, brands or characters you don’t have the rights to use.
• We limit how many AI images each person can create per day to keep the tool fair for everyone.
• If you design in Canva, your Canva account and any Canva templates, photos or elements you use are covered by Canva’s own terms and licenses. You’re responsible for following them.
• You may use the templates in our designer for prints you order from us.

8. Production and shipping

• Each product page shows its production time in business days. Production starts after your payment is received and your files pass our file check. Shipping time is added after production.
• Production and delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. If you have a firm deadline, tell us before you order or request a quote. We guarantee an in-hand date only when we confirm it in writing.
• We’re responsible for your order until it’s delivered to the address you gave us. Please check your shipping address carefully. We can’t be responsible for orders sent to an address that was entered incorrectly at checkout.

9. Changes and cancellations

You can change or cancel an order free of charge until it’s sent to production. Your order page shows each item’s status, and items marked “Sent to printer” or later are already being made. Email us as soon as you can. Once production has started, the order is being made just for you and can’t be changed or cancelled.

10. Returns, reprints and refunds

Custom printed items can’t be returned for a change of mind, but if we make a mistake, we fix it. Our Returns & reprints policy explains what’s covered and how to report a problem. It is part of these terms.

11. Our responsibility to you

If an order has a problem we’re responsible for, we’ll reprint or refund it as described in our Returns & reprints policy. To the fullest extent the law allows:

• we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, missed events, or the cost of other materials that depended on your order;
• our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order; and
• apart from the promises in these terms and our Returns & reprints policy, our products come without any other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.

12. Using the site

Please don’t misuse cmiprint.co. That includes trying to break its security, overloading it, collecting data from it automatically, or using the AI tool to create harmful content. The site’s design, product photos, templates, text and our logo belong to us or our licensors. We may change or retire features, products and prices at any time, but changes never affect an order you’ve already placed.

13. Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems are solved with one email. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and any dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Michigan.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and we’ll change the date at the top when we do. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
